keep it real
We try our best to practice vulnerability and authenticity. We fight the urge to only present our "best self" to others by practicing confession and openness. Walter Bruggemann once said, "Church shouldn't be the happiest place in town, but should be most honest place in town." We celebrate life's joy and grieve life's pain. We acknowledge when we don't know the answer to the question. We rejoice, give thanks, and lament. We also understand that our words ought to be backed up by action.
