Friday Night Dinners and Jesus Talks

We started Friday Night Dinners back in January or February with only 4-5 of us back then. It is amazing to see how we have been averaging close to 25 over the past month. The last Friday night was awesome because we are functioning better as a launch team now than we ever have in the past. The girls have done a great job setting up the house, getting side dishes, and desserts ready while the guys are getting the grill under control. In terms of outreach we are all working on training our minds to think about inviting people to dinners during the week. We had 6 first-time visitors this past Friday. We don’t want to focus on numbers but at the same time we realize the importance of getting the Word out there. But how do we get our dinner regulars to go deeper? We have discussed this the past few weeks and out of this conversation Peter and Jackie have felt called to start “Jesus Talks” at their house. These talks are simply about Jesus! This will be an avenue for questions to be answered and more questions to be raised. I believe we are all moving in the right direction.
